As per our communication yesterday, the school will close at midday tomorrow, Friday 20th March. We will remain open for the rest of term (until Friday 27th March) for children of parents who are ‘key workers’ as advised by the Government in the briefing yesterday. Those children will be supervised in school to work on the virtual learning programme, which will begin on Monday, from 8.30am to 3.45pm. This will include Friday afternoon next week.
Both sites will remain open as long as government directives permit this and we will determine which site children will attend once we are clearer how many children of which ages will remain in school.
We will also keep under review any extended opening.
We understand that a list of those defined as key workers will be released later today by the Education Secretary. It will include NHS workers, school staff and delivery drivers. Please email email@example.com by 9am tomorrow, Friday 20 March, if as parents you believe you will be in the category of key workers and would like your child to attend school.
Thank you for your ongoing messages of support during these unprecedented times.
Please take care,
Will, Neill and Di
